AFRICAN KENYA AA KIA-ORA is a Maori word for “into the wild”. And indeed, the African Kenya Kia-Ora will treat you to a wild combination of flavors- it will keep you delighted from the first sweet sip to the last nutty drop.
Flavor-saturated yet clean and crisp, this bourbon varietal also has that rounded acidity common with African coffee. Each cup of the African Kenya Kia-Ora starts with smooth caramelized sugar flavor. Slowly and deliciously, the fruity tones of grapefruit and blackberry unveils itself. Then it finishes off with a savory nuttiness as it cools.
The Kia-Ora farm is the first Kenyan coffee farm to attain an organic certification. Well-aware of the pressing environmental issue worldwide, they are dedicated to producing quality coffee through environment-friendly techniques and fair trade.Grown atop Mt. Kenya, these extraordinary coffee beans are intercropped with macadamia nuts to keep both plants healthy, the crop bountiful, and to regulate the nitrogen in the soil.
The slow development of the coffee in the shade, and the long fermentation process gives it its characteristic sweetness and tart layers.
